The Performance Monitoring & Analytics Center (PMAC) exists to support the Smart Operations Center strategic vision using knowledge, data, and analytics to support our customers and drive improvements in our asset portfolio’s utilization.

-Providing a high level of customer support to our internal and external customers
-Collaborating with other work streams on asset optimization opportunities
-Leveraging data and technology to:

-Pre-emptively identify potential equipment issues
-Optimize production and utilization of our asset portfolio
-Identify opportunities to unlock potential value
-Coordinating with Power Generation personnel in support of key activities
-Identifying and developing measures and tools in support of optimization efforts
-Monitoring roughly 53 power generating units consisting of Combined Cycle Combustion Turbine (CCCT), Boiler – Steam Turbine (Legacy – Drum and Supercritical), Combustion Turbines (CT), and Coal – Drum and Supercritical Units
PMAC Roles & Key Responsibilities for Intern/Co-op Student
Role Summary:

-Engage and learn about the electric power industry and support PMAC personnel
-Participant in learning opportunities to better understand power generation
-Learn about the various PMAC support functions
-Seek out opportunities to engage and support key PMAC activities
-Intern would perform analysis with guidance from PMAC personnel, develop performance and reliability assessment of assets used in power generation
-Support of business analytic processes through data mining and reporting, as well as performing a wide variety of detailed engineering analysis in generation-related areas such as planning, economic analysis, maintenance, design, project management and operations
-Develop and program tools to help automation or predicting outcomes from environmental or equipment changes
-Travel may be required for the position
