Position Overview:

As an Access Control Security Professional in Lynchburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial and more.

As a Security Officer with Allied Universal in a manufacturing and industrial location, you will play a key role in access control, helping to deter unauthorized entry and assisting with badge verification and alarm panel monitoring. Your presence and attention to detail will contribute to a secure environment for employees, visitors, and contractors. You will conduct routine patrols throughout the assigned areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide outstanding customer service. Your ability to communicate clearly and respond quickly to situations will be valued, as will your comfort with computers or tablets for reporting and monitoring activities. Allied Universal is seeking Access Control Security Professionals to fulfill a need at our BWXT Innovation Campus site located at 1720 Mt. Athos Road, Lynchburg, VA 24504.

Your Day to Day as a Access Control Security Professional:

-Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles as required.
-Carry out security-related procedures in accordance with site-specific policies and protocols, adapting to the needs of a manufacturing and industrial environment.
-Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and contractors with access-related inquiries and directions.
-Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating emergency response activities when appropriate.
-Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security-related concerns.
-Document and report any irregularities, suspicious activities, or security-related incidents to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or client contacts.
-Collaborate with site staff and Allied Universal management to support a secure environment tailored to the unique needs of a manufacturing and industrial location.
 

Required Qualifications:

-A minimum of a high school diploma of equivalent is required.
-Must be at least 21 years of age.
-A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
-As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
-Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
-As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
-Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
 

Preferred Qualifications:

-Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
-Alarm panel experience is preferred.
-Customer service experience is preferred.
-Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
